Attorney Blane Baker

An Osceola native, Blane Baker graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City with a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a minor in Finance in 2003. He then attended the University of Tulsa Law School and obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2005. Blane was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2006. Blane practiced law in Jefferson City, MO, with the Missouri Public Service Commission for two years until he and his wife moved back to the Osceola, MO. In 2008, Blane joined the Baker Law Firm L.L.C. with his father, J.D., and brother, Brandon, settling countless successful cases since that time.

Blane specializes in a wide variety of legal services, including personal injury, criminal defense, family law, real estate law, and banking law. Blane is a proud member of the Missouri Bar Association, 27th Circuit Bar Association, and the Federal Court, Western District of Missouri.

Attorney J.D. Baker

J. D. Baker has been a proud citizen of Missouri all his life and graduated the University of Missouri at Columbia with a Bachelor's degree in Science and Accounting in 1972. He then attained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri Law School in 1975. While attending law school, he was a member of the Missouri Law Review. J. D. was admitted to the Missouri Bar that same year. J.D. began practicing law in Osceola.

In the spring of 2008, J. D.'s youngest son, Blane, joined the family law practice. At that time, the firm opened a full-time second office in Clinton, MO.

During his long career, J. D. has handled a wide variety of litigation and cases, including Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, Family Law, Real Estate Law, and Banking Law. Also, for many years, J. D. has engaged in Probate and Estate Planning, including the drafting of many Wills, Trusts, and Non-Probate Transfers. J. D. and his firm have been general counsel for the St. Clair County State Bank since 1979. J. D. also served on the Board of Directors for the Bank from 1985 until 2012. J.D. is a proud member of the Missouri Bar Association, the 27th Circuit Bar Association, and the Federal Court, Western District of Missouri.

Attorney Race Leiber

James “Race” Leiber was born and raised in Osceola, MO, and graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology, a Minor in Criminology, and a certification in Forensic Child Psychology. He then attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2021, and was admitted to the Bar that same year.

During his time at UMKC Law, Race worked as a legal researcher during the summer and practiced as a Rule 13 Certified Attorney for the UMKC Law Child and Family Services Clinic, representing several underprivileged clients and appeared in court on their behalf during that time.

Race joined Baker Law Firm in L.L.C. in the summer of 2021, and focuses his practice on Family and Criminal Law, along with Probate and Estate Planning. He is a proud member of the Missouri Bar Association, the 27th Circuit Bar Association, and the Federal Court, Western District of Missouri.
